Centre Pompidou Hanwha

In 2023, the Centre Pompidou signed a four-year partnership agreement to establish the Centre Pompidou Hanwha in South Korea.
Designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the museum opened in June 2026 within the iconic 63 Building in Yeouido,
Seoul’s leading financial district, and is emerging as a new cultural landmark for the city.
Spanning 3,000m², Centre Pompidou Hanwha features two large exhibition galleries,
bringing together the Centre Pompidou’s innovative artistic vision and Hanwha’s forward-looking ambition.

Over the next four years, the museum will present two exhibitions annually, drawing from the french Centre Pompidou’s modern
and contemporary collections. In parallel, a series of curated exhibitions developed in collaboration with contemporary artists
will highlight key trends shaping global contemporary art today.

Centre Pompidou Hanwha aspires to serve as a cultural bridge between Korea, France, and the international art community,
as well as a new platform for contemporary art in Asia.
